Described by one of the Bai Yue founding fathers as gentle and graceful, Mt. Neilinger (內嶺爾山) has been heralded as one of the most majestic grass peaks in Taiwan. Hiking among Taiwan’s high mountains certainly has it’s rewards. This is one of them.
This side peak, located on the South Third Section (南三段), is traditionally climbed as a side peak on the fourth day, which also happens to be the shortest and easiest day of hiking across the ten days required to complete the entire route.
With a gentle, rolling trail to the ascend and no major bamboo issues, this peak is the easiest peak on the route to get, and can’t be missed on the ½ day of hiking required to climb it.
