The baby brother of Guanshan (關山), Mt. Xiaoguan (小關山) is famous in its own right, most notably for its eponymous forest road.
Located west of the peak, Xiaoguan Forest Road was historically significant for being used by the Japanese for controlling local aboriginals as well as logging operations during their occupation of Taiwan.
Located roughly in the middle of the notoriously dry South First Section (南一段), hikers will need to make sure they prepare enough water if they wish to visit this southerly Bai Yue.
