#093 – Mt. Tafen 塔芬山 – 3,070m

With its pyramidical, cone-shaped peak and eponymous pond, Mt. Tafen (塔芬山) is one of the most famous peaks on the South Second Section (南二段).

During the wet season, hikers might be lucky enough to see the Mt. Tafen pond, with its concentric circles, is said to resemble an eyeball.

Once finished, hikers will spend a night at the Tafen cabin, before climbing the similarly-named Mt. Tafenjian (達芬尖山).
