Perhaps the most compelling reason SUP boarding in Fulong has become so popular is because of the protected waters at the mouth of the Shuanxi River.

Visitors can paddle both in the ‘back bay’ and into the slow-moving waters of the river itself. Moving away from the mouth of the river, this meandering waterway offers a great jungle-like setting with lush greenery on both sides. Some of the experienced SUP boarders will paddle out into the ocean, past the small break for some more adventurous SUPing in the waves.

Where to Go SUP Boarding in Fulong

Most of the SUP boarding groups or individuals launch at various locations along the shores of the Shuanxi River, near the mouth of the river. One particularly popular launch location is here, where SUP boarders can enter the calm waters along a sandy shore. There is also a shaded area under the arched, cement overhang. While we don’t recommend leaving valuables here, this is also a location where you can leave some gear or towels. There are convenient steps down onto sandy beach shoreline here.
