On these unique experiences, we take small groups into the jungles surrounding Taipei to discover what lurks about when the sun goes down. These events include private transportation to and from local trails and National Parks, as well as in-depth bilingual ecological interpretation by licensed tour guides, who are also trained herpetologists.
This night safari is a guided tour along an easy hiking trail. Our destinations change with the seasons and species and have included Tienmu Historic Trail, Erziping Trail in Yangmingshan National Park, as well as lesser known destinations in Wulai.

Taipei Night Safari Tour – Overview
As the sun goes down, set off from Taipei on private transportation with an experienced, bilingual herpetologist who will open a whole new world for you.
If you are new to hiking or just looking for a fun night out in nature, this trip is for you! We offer beginner these and family-friendly trails no hiking experience is required.

Taipei Night Safari Tour – Itinerary
Tour Itinerary
This private, small group wildlife tour offers guests the opportunity to experience Taipei’s wildside.
Departing from Taipei Main Station (alternative pick up locations available), a private 9-passenger van will take guests directly to the trailhead and the start of this unique adventure.
Precautions
- Do not leave the trail area or leave the team without authorization
- Except for ecological observation, please do not capture, collect or maliciously harass wild animals and plants
- Please wear long pants and covered/closed-toed shoes for safety
- To ensure a clean and comfortable environment, please do not throw away garbage, make loud noises
- Please bring your own drinking water and rain gear
- If you have any questions during the activity, please report to the team leader
immediately.

- 21:30 – Bus Departure from Trail

IMPORTANT NOTICE
⚠️ PICK-UP / DROP-OFF LOCATIONs: Our pick-up location will be Taipei Main Station. The departure time will be 18:30. This departure time provides enough time in the dark without being too late of an evening for families. Our drop-off location for this tour will be Taipei Main Station. If you require an alternate pick-up/drop-off locations, please contact us directly at YourTaiwanOutdoors@gmail.com. Additional costs may apply.
⚠️GUIDE: In addition to providing an amazing outdoor experience, our guides have the responsibility for guest safety and well-being. Our guides will monitor the group’s fitness levels and health throughout the tour. In the event of poor weather or if any guests are struggling from poor fitness or adverse conditions, they reserve the right to alter the tour itinerary and/or cancel the ascent. We thank you for your understanding as we believe guests’ safety is of the utmost importance.
⚠️ MEALS: No Meals or Drinks are provided on this tour. Guests are responsible for bringing sufficient water and any snacks they require.
⚠️ GROUP SIZE: The Taipei Night Safari Tour can be booked for groups between 1-7 guests. This tour is limited to 7 guests. If you have a team of more than 7, please contact us directly at YourTaiwanOutdoors@gmail.com.
⚠️ TOUR AVAILABILITY: The Taipei Night Safari Tour must be booked at least 10-days prior to your planned departure date. This tour can be booked online March to November each year, as the wildlife tends to be less common in the winter months. For those groups wishing to hike during the January-February period must have a direct consultation with our tour director to ensure guests are aware of the specific species we might find.
⚠️ CANCELLATION POLICY:
- 95% refund when the cancellation notice arrives 41 days before the scheduled day of departure.
- 90% refund when the cancellation notice arrives 31 days to 40 days before the scheduled day of departure.
- 70% refund when the cancellation notice arrives 2 days to 30 days before the scheduled day of departure.
- 20% refund when the cancellation notice arrives one day before the scheduled day of departure.
- No refund when the cancellation notice arrives after the scheduled day of departure.
