#060 – Mt. Neilinger 內嶺爾山 – 3,275m

Described by one of the Bai Yue founding fathers as gentle and graceful, Mt. Neilinger (內嶺爾山) has been heralded as one of the most majestic grass peaks in Taiwan. Hiking among Taiwan’s high mountains certainly has its rewards.

Mt. Neilinger is ranked #60 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#059 – Mt. Lulu 轆轆山 – 3,278m

Mt. Lulu (轆轆山) and its corresponding East Peak, together form a pair of majestic and photogenic side-by-side peaks. For those photographers hiking in Taiwan’s high mountains, this will be a highlight (if the weather holds up).

Mt. Lulu is ranked #59 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#058 – Mt. Kaxipanan 喀西帕南山 – 3,278m

At 3,278m, Mt. Kaxipanan (喀西帕南山) is the final and easternmost peak on the Mabolasi Traverse (馬博橫斷), and despite being on such a difficult route, is surprisingly easy to reach.

Mt. Kaxipanan is ranked #58 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#057 – Mt. Junda 郡大山 – 3,278m

Isolated from any other major Bai Yue routes or peaks, Mt. Junda (郡大山) is traditionally climbed in 1 day and generally requires hiring locals with high clearance 4x4s to transport you up the rutted forest road to reach the trailhead.

Mt. Junda is ranked #57 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#056 – Mt. Taroko 太魯閣大山 – 3,282m

While many people may have heard about Taroko National Park and Taroko Gorge, very few are aware that there is also a mountain peak, Mt. Taroko (太魯閣大山) located within the park as well.

Mt. Taroko is ranked #56 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#055 – Mt. Ganzhouwan 干卓萬山 – 3,284m

Reaching 3,284m, Mt. Ganzhouwan (干卓萬山 is a prairie peak with sparse bamboo that requires a grueling ascent and harrowing cliff section traverse just to reach.

Mt. Ganzhouwan is ranked #55 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#054 – Mt. Zhijiayang 志佳陽大山 – 3,285m

Located on the south side of Snow Mountain, hikers wishing to climb Mt. Zhijiayang (志佳陽大山) will need to start their journey from the aboriginal village of Huanshan (環山部落).

Mt. Zhijiayang is ranked #54 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#053 – Mt. Beinan 卑南主山 – 3,292m

Located at the southern end of the South First Section (南一段), Mt. Beinan (卑南主山) is also the southern terminus of the Central Mountain range, and the second most southerly Bai Yue in Taiwan.

Mt. Beinan is ranked #53 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#052 – Mt. Yize 伊澤山 – 3,296m

The second peak on the Daba Peaks Route (大霸群峰), Mt. Yize (伊澤山) is a very short side trip off the main trail, located not far from Zhongba Cabin (中霸山屋), which is a smaller, secondary lodging option for hikers doing this peak.

Mt. Yize is ranked #52 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#051 – Mt. Chiyou 池有山 – 3,300m

Located on the north side of Sheipa National Park (雪霸國家公園), Mt. Chiyou (池有山) is a short side trip off the middle of the main ridgeline of the famous Wuling Quadruple/Wuling Sixiu (武陵四秀) route.

Mt. Chiyou is ranked #51 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.
