#047 – Mt. Danda 丹大山 – 3,329m

Steeped in aboriginal culture and history, at 3,329m, Mt. Danda (丹大山) is located in one of the most remote and complex mountain areas in Taiwan.

Located directly along the Central Mountain Range (中央山脈), this peak lies directly along the spine of Taiwan and is the first Bai Yue hiked (as a side trip) on the notoriously difficult South Third Section (南三段).

Mt. Danda is ranked #47 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#044 – Mt. Baiguda 白姑大山 – 3,342m

Located in the heart of Taiwan, the trailhead for Mt. Baiguda (白姑大山) lies in the small aboriginal village of Hongxiang (紅香).

Traditionally done as a 2 or 3-day in-and-out route, Mt. Baiguda is a relatively easy Bai Yue peak that is suitable for most beginners.

Mt. Baiguda is ranked #44 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

#042 – Mt. Qilai South Peak 奇萊南峰 – 3,357m

Unlike the North and Main Peaks of Qilai, which have a reputation as being considerably harder and more dangerous, the South Peak of Mt. Qilai (奇萊南峰) is widely regarded as one of the easiest Bai Yue in Taiwan, and is suitable for all ages of hikers with a reasonable level of fitness and experience.

Mt. Qilai South Peak is ranked #42 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.
