Hiking Shitoushan (獅頭山) in Hsinchu

Shitoushan (獅頭山) is listed at #029 of the Xiao Bai Yue (小百岳). Located in Nanzhuang (南庄) in Hsinchu County (新竹縣), hiking Lion’s Head Mountain is an easy hike that offers easy hiking (essentially walking) and visits to temples in Taiwan’s Tri-Mountain Scenic Areas.

Hiking Xizhoushan (溪洲山)

Xizhoushan (溪洲山) is listed at #022 of the Xiao Bai Yue (小百岳). Xizhoushan (溪洲山) can be found in Longtan District (龍潭區) in Taoyuan City (桃園市).

The Xizhou Trail is a short hike located on the north side of Shimen Reservoir in Taoyuan City, opposite Shimen Mountain across from the famous Shimen Dam. This area is also a very popular bird watching destination in northern Taiwan.

Hiking Nanshijiaoshan (南勢角山)

With an elevation of 302 meters, Nanshijiaoshan is a short but steep hike up a mountain side that is dotted with various temples. So it’s not only only hikers that frequent this area, but also believers making pilgrimages to the areas shrines and holy places. It’s an animated area making it a short, but fun hike that has a bit of a cultural flair to it.

Hiking Jiantanshan (劍潭山) in Taipei

Jiantanshan) (劍潭山) is listed at #009 of the Xiao Bai Yue (小百岳). Located in Zhongshan District (中山區) in Taipei City (台北市), Jiantanshan is located about 15 minutes drive from Taipei Main Station.

There are stunning views across the mountain, north over downtown Taipei and west towards Guanyin Mountain (觀音山) in Wugu District.
