Located on the North Second Section Route (北二段), Mt. Shuan (閂山) is often the first Bai Yue climbed by hikers and is the easiest peak on the route.

Mt. Shuan is ranked #80 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

Located at the east end of the Snow Mountain West Ridge Route (雪山西稜), Mt. Daxue (大雪山), or “Big Snow Mountain” is both the highest and most beautiful peak on the route.

Mt. Daxue is ranked #023 of Taiwan’s Top 100 Mountains.

Make no mistake, despite being the second tallest mountain in Taiwan, there is absolutely no reason not to put Snow Mountain (雪山) as one of the best peaks in Taiwan.
